Hello from Sunny Arizona! We, the Tombstone Lions Club, are getting ready for another exciting Wyatt Days and we would like you to be a part of this year’s fun. The smell of gunpowder is in the air and we are requesting your group answer this letter as soon as possible to be a part of our annual celebration. Wyatt Earp Days 2017 will be held Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 27-29. We feel that a first come first served approach is best for everyone. The sooner we hear from you and your group, the better your chances are of getting your desired time slot for entertainment on historic Allen Street. Entertainment skits will start every 15 minutes beginning at 10:00AM Just complete the form below, print it out and mail it to: Pat Kelly, Street Entertainment Director, P.O. Box 838, Tombstone, AZ 85638, for your desired entertainment times. By providing all the information, we are able to keep in touch through out the year with other things going on in the event you wish to participate. PLEASE FURNISH THE NUMBER OF CAST MEMBERS WHO WILL BE PERFORMING DURING THE WEEKEND FOR CAST PARTICIPATION BADGES. GROUP LEADERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO SHARE THIS VITAL INFORMATION WITH THEIR CAST MEMBERS! All participating groups and their members will be required to sign-in and have their weapons and ammunition checked by 9:00AM at the Helldorado Inc. Office, located at 130 S. 4th Street in the Old Bank Building just South of the Tombstone Chamber of Commerce, on Saturday or Sunday, or on the day your group is to perform. Each member of your group will have all of their weapons and ammunition checked to ensure they are safe to fire and functioning properly prior to performing. ALL PRIMERS MUST BE REMOVED AND/OR DRILLED OUT FROM ALL SHELLS CARRIED IN GUN BELTS. NO LIVE AMMUNITION WILL BE PERMITTED TO BE CARRIED ON ALLEN STREET. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! NOTE: For all performances on Allen Street involving firing of weapons: In an effort to maintain safety and harmony with street productions within the City of Tombstone, full-load ammunition will not be permitted to be fired during street entertainment. Half-loads, which are those loads equivalent to Yellow MRI ammunition, are the ONLY ammunition approved by The Tombstone Lions Club and will be allowed for firing during street entertainment. Your group’s ammunition must meet the above type and design requirements for ammunition fired on Allen Street. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! Groups, who will be firing weapons on Allen Street, will have one of their rounds randomly test-fired upon check-in, to ensure these required specifications are met. Each group will furnish its own ammunition for performing on Allen Street. THERE WILL BE NO AMMUNITION FOR PURCHASE ON SITE! Allen Street Performance Rules: 1. All skits performed will be a minimum of six (6) to a maximum of eight (8) minutes in length. 2. All groups MUST obtain permission from the Street Entertainment Director prior to starting their performance. 2. All groups must maintain constant awareness of pedestrian traffic as well as animal drawn conveyances on Allen Street and will remain within the designated entertainment area while performing. 4. Profanity and consumption of alcohol is PROHIBITED while performing on Allen Street. 5. Excessive violence and blood bags are PROHIBITED while performing on Allen Street. ALL PERFORMANCE TIMES ON ALLEN STREET ARE APPROXIMATE START TIMES AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. THE TOMBSTONE LIONS CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE START TIMES IN THE EVENT CIRCUMSTANCES WARRANT DOING SO. Something different this year. We will be hosting a hospitality room in the same place you check in. It will be open Saturday morning and all day Sunday.
